he's actually blaming me now too! Typical denial from liars and cheats, it's everybody's fault but them. Moreover, this seller's "manager" is blaming everybody except themselves. Implying: 'what ya want pal, it's cheap, because of this' He could care less, claimed that I got an used battery because their "minimum wage workers make mistakes". I even went so far as to advise that without this, there's nothing but, to believe this claim is a lie. He would not cite any information to illustrate "We buy them direct from optima". Pretty much went in the same direction, with their manger. They refused, continued to claim they would not, could not check the voltage and would not illustrate their claim, "We buy them from Optima new"Ĩ-10 email exchanges through e-bay until I finally cut to the chase and called them direct. The price was good, $145 shipped, less than any other seller so, I put out the effort to convince them to, just show me, as they claimed during this conversation, "We buy these new direct from Optima" just prove that and there's no need to check the voltage. they 'don't have time or resources to do that and so, now, because they can not conform, they will not replace it.' Optima said it should be a minimum of 13.1V So, I asked them to 'please check the voltage' before replacing. I'd told them: I called Optima and they said 'the current voltage of the Bat I received 12.56V meant it's already crystalizing, it's junk'. I excepted their offer and asked that they check the voltage before shipping. No problem right? Except wasting my time, it's the way things go sometimes.īut here's where I got down to the nitty gritty with them. , they offered return shipping and full replacement, claiming it was an error. When I told them of this, and sent photos too, albeit, I did not site my suspicions, used warranty return, bogus etc. It's not even 6 months old, and now it's clearly obvious, this is not a new, sitting on the shelf to long battery, 6 months and this dirty, it's abused! Additionally the top is dirty, sides have black and usage scuff marks, yet, indeed it's not very old, manufactured Oct 24 2015. the poles have corrosion on them, and the largest give-away is, there are clamp marks on the poles. decent shipping 5 days delivery and I got mine yesterday. And so, with that thought, I knew what I was getting into. But first, I read the warnings here and others sites, about, potentially, batteries that may have extended their shelf life, and should be recharged before usage. Dang, I bought a brand new battery from uspartsoutlet, ebay.
